Clausum

Private security begins with your digital footprint.

Clausum reduces it. And keeps watch over everything that remains.

How an attack on a person begins

Someone who wants to harm a person does not attack the company. He starts where nobody is looking.

  • 43%

of family offices worldwide were attacked in the past one to two years.

  • 72%

of security professionals surveyed in the US report that their senior executives were deliberately targeted within 18 months.

  • 2×

as many reports in Switzerland of fraud in the name of the chief executive as two years earlier: 970 instead of 484.

  • 15%

of adults in Switzerland have already fallen victim to online fraudsters.

At work, you are well protected. At home, you are not.

The personal phone, the network at the holiday house, your daughter’s account, the address in the commercial register: this is where anyone who means a person harm begins.

Clausum turns the digital life of a person and their family into a closed room. Not with a product, but with a mandate: personally led, shaped around the household, built to last.

Confidential first conversation

Six areas.One person to call.

Clausum covers private digital life as a whole. You do not have to coordinate any of it yourself.

  • Privacy

Your address, your number, old accounts: we find what is out there and have it removed.

  • Accounts and access

E-mail, bank, Apple or Google account: put in order so that a stolen password alone admits nobody.

  • Devices

The phones, computers and tablets of the whole family, each gone through and closed one by one.

  • Home

The network in the house, the cameras, the home technology, at your residence as at the holiday house.

  • Family and household

Partner, children, assistant and household staff are included, each to the right degree.

  • Watch and emergency

We keep in view what happens to your name. If something does, one call is enough, and we take over.

All services in detail

Every device, every residence. One place that keeps watch.

We take phones, computers, houses and accounts into our personal care and bring everything together in one place. You do not have to keep an eye on anything.

  • We take into our care

Every device, every account, every residence is arranged by us personally, in your presence, at your home. You need not concern yourself with any of it.

  • We keep watch

What happens on your devices, in your houses and around your name comes together in one place: with us. We see events, not content.

  • We act

If something stands out, we act within what we have agreed and inform you: of what has happened, and of what we have arranged.

  • Phones and tablets
  • Computers
  • The network in the house
  • Cameras and home technology
  • Accounts and access
  • Your public profiles
  • Further residences
  • Your name, wherever it appears

How a mandate runs

At every point you know what happens next, and why.

One hour, at your home, at Clausum or by phone. You describe what is on your mind. Clausum asks questions and says openly whether a mandate makes sense. The conversation costs nothing and commits you to nothing.

Clausum gathers what can be found about you and your family, and goes through the dossier with you in person. This is where it is decided what happens first.

Over a few weeks, accounts, devices and home are put in order, in appointments arranged around your diary. The family and, where necessary, the staff are included.

You receive the emergency folder and a short introduction for everyone in the household. After that you know what has been set up, how it is used and whom to call.

Clausum keeps watch, looks in at regular intervals and can be reached. Once a year the family sits down together for the annual conversation.

Who Clausum works for

For people for whom an incident at home reaches further than themselves: a company, a fortune, a club, a name.

  • Executives and board members

Your company protects your workplace. Your home is not its responsibility, and nor should it be.

  • Entrepreneurial families and family offices

A family is as well protected as its least careful member and its oldest device.

  • Professional athletes and their agents

Your profession takes place in front of an audience. Your home, your family and your negotiations do not.

  • Public figures

Visibility is your profession. So the task is not ‘private’ but ‘controlled’.

For advisers and companies

Often the first step is taken not by the person concerned, but by someone who bears responsibility for them.

  • Wealth managers, family offices, law firms

Your clients entrust you with more than their wealth. You make the introduction, we take on the protection. We pay no referral fees and accept none.

  • Companies

You protect your executives in the one place your own security team must not reach: at home. The company holds the mandate, and what is private stays private. You learn that the protection is in place, not what we see along the way.

  • Close protection and security services

We add the digital side to physical protection and agree with you who learns what and who acts when.

About Clausum. The team

Behind Clausum is a small team of security specialists. For several years we have protected companies in Switzerland, from small firms to large corporations. Some of us attack on commission to find the gaps. Others detect and stop attacks day to day.

From that work comes the insight on which Clausum rests. A company’s technology is usually well protected today. The people who lead it, at home, seldom are.

Anyone who places a mandate works with us personally. We hold the conversation, come to the house and take the call.

Areas of focus

  • Attacks on commission, to find the gaps
  • Detecting and repelling attacks
  • Protection of accounts, devices and networks
  • Support in an emergency
  • Research in open sources

What Clausum holds to

  • Confidentiality from the first conversation

In writing, before you say a word.

  • No names

Clausum names no clients. Not on request, and not anonymised as a reference.

  • No keys

Clausum does not know your passwords and does not read your content.

  • Nothing without your knowledge

Everything is set up in your presence. We watch events, not content. We step in only within what has been agreed.

  • Switzerland

What Clausum records about you is held in Switzerland, kept to the minimum necessary, and deleted when the mandate ends.

  • Independent

Clausum earns nothing from what it recommends: not from devices, not from services.

  • Few mandates

The number is limited, so that being reachable is more than a promise.

  • Honest about limits

Complete invisibility does not exist. Clausum says what can be achieved and what cannot.

Switzerland

Clausum works from Switzerland and under Swiss law. What is recorded about clients is held here. The work takes place throughout Switzerland and, where a mandate requires it, at your homes abroad. Conversations can be held in German, English, French and Italian.

The name

Clausum is Latin and means that which is closed: a room entered only by those who belong there. The word lives on in cloister and enclosure.

Frequently asked questions

What does a mandate cost?

The fee depends on the scope: how many people, how many homes, how much public exposure. After the first conversation you receive a written proposal with a fixed sum for initial protection and an annual fee for ongoing care.

Do you need my passwords?

No. We put your accounts in order in your presence and hand them over to you. We neither know nor hold your passwords, and we do not read your content.

Who sees what you find out about me?

Only the person who leads your mandate, and you. The dossier is handed over in person, is held in Switzerland and is deleted when the mandate ends.

How long does initial protection take?

As a rule a few weeks, in appointments arranged around your diary. Withdrawal from directories and registers continues in the background and can take months.

Does my family have to take part?

Nobody has to. But a household is protected only when everyone is part of it. Family members are included only with their consent, children in a way that suits their age.

Do you work with my company or my family office?

If you wish. We coordinate with your company’s security people, your lawyer or your close protection team, without giving them any view into your private life.

What happens if I end the mandate?

Everything we have put in order for you stays with you and endures without us. What we have recorded about you is deleted. You receive written confirmation of this.

Can you make me invisible?

No, and anyone who promises that is not telling the truth. We can considerably reduce what can be found about you, and we say openly what will remain.
